Recently, I’ve been looking at NFT transaction records again, watching the floor price be pushed up and then drop down again. Honestly, the liquidity is still that shallow; most of the excitement relies on narratives and a few images to support it. Royalties are also quite delicate: if you collect them, market makers complain it’s too expensive and the order book becomes thinner; if you don’t, the community feels “how else can we support the team,” so neither side is happy. Last week, I tried to chase a new series for the third time, but in the end, I stopped and moved those few assets back to my cold wallet for peace of mind. Also, I agree that on-chain data tools and tags are often criticized for lagging behind and potentially misleading—too many people jump to conclusions just by looking at the dashboard, but the real buy and sell orders have already moved elsewhere. In short, don’t get caught up in the hype; when liquidity is poor, no matter how good the story is, it’s easy to get stuck.
