I took a walk by the seaside at night. It was pretty calm at first, but once I got home and checked my positions, that tiny bit of floating loss started to loom larger in my head, and my sleepiness was pushed right out of me. When I’m up on the day, I don’t really feel much—at most it’s like, “oh, it’s fine,” and I keep scrolling through proposals and weekly reports. But the moment I’m down, it feels like someone is reminding me, “you might have done something wrong.” Even though, rationally, I know I haven’t sold or settled yet, plain and simple—the pain of losing sticks to me more than the thrill of winning.

Lately, the airdrop season is both kind of funny and also infuriating. The task platform’s anti-bot/anti-witch measures are getting more and more like clocking in to work, and the points-based system keeps people mentally on edge. Earning a few points is basically whatever—missing a task or an account might get you flagged, and that can completely detonate your mood… isn’t that the same kind of loss aversion? Anyway, I’m trying to treat “short-term price up/down / gains and losses of points” as noise for now. Being able to fall asleep matters more than squeezing out one more bite, so I’ll leave it at that for now.
