Recently, I've seen a bunch of PFP skin swaps + membership benefits bundled together, claiming to build a "brand." I tend to first remove the filters: long-term value isn't about how good the avatar looks, but whether the rules can stay unchanged long-term, where the money flows, and who can change parameters with one click. Permissions are too centralized in the contract, and the upgrade path is vague, so memberships seem more like short-term attention trades, fading after a couple of weeks of excitement.

Additionally, lately retail investors have been complaining that miners/validators take too much, MEV and ordering are unfair, and I can understand: you think you're buying a brand, but your transaction order is clearly arranged by others, making the experience feel fragmented. Anyway, I now prefer to hold fewer positions, and first check the flow of funds in the treasury and the admin keys, at least to know who I'm gambling with. That's all for now.
