The U.S. Department of State approves arms sales to four Middle Eastern countries

On May 1st local time, the U.S. State Department approved the sale of “Integrated Combat Command Systems” and related equipment to Kuwait, valued at approximately $2.5 billion; it approved the sale of “Advanced Precision Kill Weapon Systems” to Israel, valued at $992 million; it approved the sale of “Patriot” air defense and missile defense systems to Qatar, valued at $4.01 billion; and it approved the sale of “Advanced Precision Kill Weapon Systems” to the United Arab Emirates, valued at $148 million.
