Israeli Officials: Removing Iran's Enriched Uranium is Key to Military Success

On May 2, an Israeli Defense Forces officer claimed that failing to remove Iran’s enriched uranium materials would result in a “huge failure” in the conflict with Iran. This stockpile of enriched uranium is “sufficient to produce 11 nuclear bombs.” If negotiations between the U.S. and Iran do not lead to an agreement for the removal of Iran’s enriched uranium stock and the cessation of its uranium enrichment activities, then the “results” achieved during military operations will be “meaningless,” and Israel will “need to launch another military operation to achieve that goal.” (CCTV) According to monitoring by PolyBeats, the probability of a U.S.-Iran nuclear agreement being reached before 2027 is currently reported at 54% on the prediction market Polymarket.
