These days, the network is a bit congested, and I just remembered the thing called mempool: when you click send, you're actually "queuing up," and miners/validators prioritize picking the transactions with higher fees, so yours might be sitting at the end of the line, idling. The most annoying part is when it gets stuck without failing, and the funds are locked up; to speed it up, you either have to pay a higher fee and resend or just wait for it to expire... Last week, I waited over ten minutes for the third time just to save a little gas, and my patience completely collapsed.

By the way, recently, due to increased taxes and stricter compliance rumors in some regions, I noticed everyone's deposit and withdrawal expectations are more anxious, and the surge on the chain makes congestion easier. Anyway, I now prefer to earn a little less rather than pay high fees, and I calculate the fee based on the "probability of being included in a block," because a high APR isn't worth losing sleep over.
