These past two days, people have been watching on-chain large transfers and changes in exchange hot and cold wallets, saying, “Smart money is about to move.” To be blunt: no matter how much you think you understand, if you can’t get past the wallet security hurdle, it’s all for nothing. Don’t take photos of your seed phrase or upload it to a cloud drive—don’t think, “I’ve hidden it really well.” If your phone gets compromised, you’re basically exposed. And don’t just hit “Confirm” all the way through when you see signature authorization pop-ups. Many phishing sites aren’t trying to trick you into sending coins; they’re trying to get you to enable an authorization for “spend freely.” Later, your wallet is still there, but the money is gone—most infuriating of all. My red line is simple: don’t click unfamiliar links, don’t sign unknown contracts, and if you can set limits on authorizations, set them; revoke them after you’re done. Forget that “smart money” talk for now—if someone is truly smart, they’ll first protect themselves.
