If you were born somewhere between 81 and 96, you belong to a generation often called one of the most unique in history. And honestly, there’s some truth to that.

Millennials are a generation that experienced two completely different worlds. We remember life without the internet, without smartphones, when you had to go to an internet cafe or wait for someone to free up the home computer. But then we grew up in the digital age and learned to navigate both. This gives us a huge advantage – we understand both traditional business (people, relationships, physical sales) and modern (systems, scaling, online ecosystems). A good millennial can sell on the street and then move online and succeed there as well.

Another feature of our generation is that we’re used to seeking solutions rather than just following the beaten path. When the job market started changing and a diploma no longer guaranteed anything, millennials didn’t break down – we started inventing. Startups, freelancing, online business – that’s all us. Life taught us to think outside the box and start with minimal resources.

We also understood something important about marketing and branding. Millennials don’t just sell products – we sell stories, emotions, experiences. We know that people buy not just logic, but feelings, and that customer loyalty depends not only on price. That’s why so many millennials have succeeded in content, education, and brand creation.

An interesting point – our attitude towards money. Yes, many of us are not wealthy, but financial literacy among the millennial generation is much higher than it was for our parents at our age. We know about investments, assets, passive income. These are not just words for us.

And one more thing – millennials value freedom more than titles. A fancy title in a company isn’t as important to us as our own time, our own decisions, and our own money. That’s why entrepreneurship and personal brands attract so many of us.

Finally, we have the ability to retrain and change direction without shame. Millennials don’t carry pride in themselves: if we need to learn a new skill, we do it. If we need to change jobs or professions, we don’t think long. Many of us work in fields different from what we studied in school, and that doesn’t bother us. In a volatile world, this is a huge advantage.

So, millennials – let’s give ourselves a round of applause. We’ve earned it.
