The mainnet is expensive, but it feels more secure, especially when dealing with large funds and fewer transactions; L2 is cheap and convenient, suitable for frequent interactions, but occasionally when bridging or withdrawing, issues can arise or it might take half a day, making the experience quite unpredictable... Currently, my approach is: for small trial transactions, use L2 first; if I need to hold long-term or involve permissions/large transfers, switch back to the mainnet, and treat infrequent use as paying an "insurance fee."

Additionally, the ongoing disputes over privacy coins and mixing services regarding compliance boundaries are quite divisive, which makes me lean toward simplifying the process: avoid complex routing if possible, to reduce "explanation costs."
