U.S. stocks close: Dow Jones initially down 0.31%, S&P 500 up 0.29%, Nasdaq up 0.89%

Golden Financial reports that on May 2nd, U.S. stocks closed with the Dow initially down 0.31%, the S&P 500 up 0.29%, and the Nasdaq up 0.89%. Due to strong Q1 earnings reports, Apple (AAPL.O) closed up 3.24%, and SanDisk (SNDK.O) rose 8.25%. Intel (INTC.O) increased 5.44%, closing at $99.62, reaching a new high.
This week, the S&P 500 rose 0.9%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.5%, and the Nasdaq rose 1.1%. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq have risen for six consecutive weeks, marking the longest streak since October 2024. (Jin10)
