The U.S. is considering punitive measures against NATO allies

According to a report by Reuters today (April 24), citing information from a U.S. official, an internal Pentagon email outlined options for punishing NATO allies, on the grounds that these countries are considered not to have “supported the United States’ war against Iran.” The punitive measures include: suspending Spain’s NATO membership and re-examining the United States’ stance toward the United Kingdom regarding its support for the sovereignty claim over Argentina’s Malvinas Islands (known in English as the Falkland Islands).
