In April, Tesla’s new car registrations continued to recover in the markets of France, Denmark, and the Netherlands. After two consecutive years of sales decline (a nearly 27% drop in 2025), Tesla’s sales in the European market rebounded strongly this year. In the first quarter, Tesla’s overall sales in Europe increased by nearly 45%. Since the outbreak of the Iran conflict on February 28, demand for new and used electric vehicles across Europe has surged, mainly driven by rising fuel prices. Last month, Tesla received another positive development in Europe: the Dutch regulatory authority approved the deployment of its driver assistance software. The Dutch Vehicle Authority RDW has reported to the European Commission plans to promote this software to obtain full EU-wide compliance certification; this feature is currently sold to users by Tesla through a monthly subscription model.
