Recently, cross-chain bridges have made me a little anxious again. To put it simply, it all comes down to one word: wait—wait for confirmation, wait for everyone involved in the multi-signature to be awake, and wait for the oracle not to glitch. I used to hate how slow it was. When I saw “still confirming,” I wanted to yell at people. But now I actually feel that those few minutes are like a protective charm—at least they give me a window to change my mind… In any case, I’d rather wait a bit longer than experience my assets teleporting straight into thin air.
These days, hardware wallets are all out of stock, phishing links are flying everywhere, and suddenly everyone has gotten really good at “waiting before tapping.” I’m practicing this too: before a cross-chain transfer, first wait until you’ve fully thought it through—do you truly need to go to that chain, or are you just swept up by FOMO? If you really decide to do it, try with a small amount first, then proceed once everything is confirmed. Moving a little slower isn’t something to be ashamed of. What you lose is only relying on luck.
