The official FIFA ticket resale platform reportedly saw four tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup (USA, Canada, Mexico) final appear recently, with each ticket priced at nearly $2.3 million. It is understood that these four tickets are for the World Cup final held on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Each ticket is listed at $2,299,998.85, with seats in Section 124, lower-tier seating behind the goal, row 45, seats 33 to 36. On that day, the lowest price for final match tickets on the platform was $10,923.85. According to the U.S. account, FIFA does not control the resale market prices of tickets, but charges a 15% fee to both the buyer and the seller of each ticket.

The USA, Canada, Mexico World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in 16 cities across the three countries. Earlier this month, FIFA said that data from three completed ticket sales phases shows that the number of fans around the world who have successfully purchased tickets has reached a record high for the same period. This edition of the tournament is expected to break the record for total cumulative viewers of 3.5 million set by the 1994 World Cup in the United States. This year’s high ticket prices have drawn criticism from multiple fan organizations, but FIFA President Gianni Infantino has said it is the result of “huge demand,” adding, “In the U.S., there is a dynamic pricing model, meaning prices will rise or fall depending on the specific match.” (CCTV News)
