Interesting observations from the global wealth market. A few months ago, an update to the list of the 10 richest people in the world was released, and it must be said that technology has completely dominated the ranking.

Elon Musk still leads with an astronomical margin—his fortune is now over $700 billion. This is something we haven't seen before in modern business history. The growth mainly comes from SpaceX, which is doing incredible things in the space industry, plus Starlink, Tesla, and his increasing influence in AI.

As for the rest of the top 10 richest people in the world, the second half of the ranking is basically all from the tech industry. Larry Page from Google is in second place with around $270 billion, Jeff Bezos third with $255 billion. Sergey Brin, Larry Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg—all these people made incredible money because they were in the right place at the right time when technology exploded.

What strikes me the most? How much AI and cloud computing have shifted the balance. Alphabet dominates in artificial intelligence, AWS is growing wildly, and the semiconductor sector is also doing well. Almost everyone on the list of the 10 richest people in the world are largely founders who held onto their shares. That’s the key difference—long-term commitment to the business rather than quick profits.

Bernard Arnault is the only one who broke out of the tech world—luxury also earns over $200 billion. But the rest? Almost all are innovators from the tech sector who built things that are truly changing the world today.

If you look at the 10 richest people in the world and try to find a pattern, it’s very simple—technology wins. AI, space exploration, cloud computing, semiconductors. These are the sectors driving wealth growth on the largest scale. It will be interesting to see how this looks in the next few years.
