Lately, scrolling through task platforms has been a bit surreal. Chasing easy rewards used to feel like picking up a bargain, but now it feels more and more like going to work: clock in, write reports, and even maintain “scores.” It’s understandable that witches are flying all over the place too, but a one-size-fits-all approach leaves people’s mindset all twisted up. To put it plainly, the more seriously you take it, the more it feels like you’re being trained by KPIs.

I used to be a little paranoid. I would say things like “I only look at on-chain,” thinking on-chain settlement is the most honest. Later, I realized that off-chain rules—like scores and whitelists—are the biggest variables. No matter how clean the on-chain data is, it can’t stop the rules from being changed by one line of text. On the other hand, “I only look at sentiment” also doesn’t work: Layer 2 is constantly arguing day to day about TPS, fees, and subsidies. Emotions can run high, but when it comes to real settlement and where the funds flow, the truth still tends to slip out… In any case, lower your expectations first, and don’t treat chasing rewards like it’s a paycheck.
