When I was a beginner, I really thought that on-chain "data availability, ordering, finality" were three kinds of mysticism; anyway, if I didn't understand, I just took it as good news/bad news. Now I prefer to focus on one main thread: whether the "process" and "outcome" of your transaction can be checked by everyone, in what order it gets packaged, and whether there will be regrets in the end—basically, whether the ledger can be openly reconciled, who has the final say on the sequence, and when it truly counts as settled.
Recently, I’ve seen large on-chain transfers and hot/cold wallets of exchanges, and someone always shouts "smart money is coming" when they move. I also get curious and want to check, but upon reflection: moving money doesn’t mean the direction is clear; it’s more about "path visibility," which doesn’t guarantee "reliable results." Now, when I choose protocols, I don’t rely so much on fancy terms; I first look at whether they can continuously generate real cash flow, how risks are shared, and don’t get caught up in high APRs and start fantasizing about retirement again… Anyway, I’ve turned off the compound interest table for now.
