You tell me meme looks lively and you want to rush in, I really have some PTSD… I used to think about sneaking in, but ended up being squeezed and doubting my life. Now when I see the narrative reigniting, I first ask myself: how much am I prepared to lose and walk away? Honestly, if stop-loss isn’t set properly, the rest is just emotional trading.
I usually have two approaches: either start with a small position so that even a 30% drop doesn’t keep me awake; or set a fixed rule that “admit mistake” when entering, like if it breaks previous lows or volume drops significantly, then exit—don’t get emotionally attached. The worst is buying more as it drops, ending up just doing charity for the market.
Recently, new L1/L2 projects are incentivizing to pull TVL, and old users complain about “mining, selling,” which I can really empathize with… So now I prefer to place stop-loss around the “end of incentives” period. Anyway, once the hype dies down, it’s gone—just focus on surviving first.
