On May 1, according to reports from Iran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei stated that expecting quick results from negotiations between Iran and the United States is unrealistic. Baghaei emphasized that after 47 years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has accumulated deep distrust and skepticism towards U.S. actions. He stressed that it should not be expected that negotiations will yield results in a short time, stating, ‘After all, this is an extremely bloody war.’ He pointed out that the U.S. and Israel are ‘extremely brutal,’ as evidenced by the conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon over the past two and a half years. Baghaei said, ‘In this situation, regardless of who the mediator is, it is unrealistic to expect an agreement in a short time.’ (CCTV)
