Last week, someone asked me again what people are really afraid of with cross-chain bridges. To put it simply, there are three things: Is multi-signature just a group of people endorsing each other? Will the oracle be fed fake data? And after you click "Cross-Chain," what exactly are you waiting for during that long "waiting for confirmation" period?

I used to think it was slow too, but after experiencing it myself, I realized it's not the interface spinning, but the system going through a bunch of potential error-prone steps. A little slower actually makes me feel more at ease.

Recently, Meme and celebrity shoutouts have become lively again. I agree with veteran players advising newcomers not to take the final step... The more attention is flying around, the less valuable that "speed" on the bridge really is.
Now I’ve gotten used to: transferring amounts in two parts, avoiding cross-chain transfers if possible. Anyway, I can just sleep and check the on-chain records later.
