Peru's president says he will not purchase fighter jets from the U.S.
Peru’s The Republic reported on the 23rd that Peru’s President Balcasar reiterated on the 22nd that he will not purchase F-16 fighter jets from the United States, and that the next government will decide which company to award the procurement contract to. Balcasar said that buying these aircraft would impose a huge fiscal burden, and that the current administration already has several established priorities that urgently require funding.
