So I just found out Grass is rolling out Community Node testing, and honestly it's pretty interesting if you're already running their extension. Basically they're giving early testers a 1.25x multiplier on rewards, which is 25% more points compared to the regular Chrome version. The whole idea is that community members help alpha test new features before they go live to everyone else. The grass extension itself just runs quietly in the background using your unused bandwidth to collect training data from public websites for AI companies. You get paid for it, they get data. Pretty straightforward. What I like about it is they're not touching your personal stuff - just pulling from public content. The bandwidth usage is supposed to be minimal too, so you shouldn't notice any slowdown on your actual internet. I've been running the extension for a bit and haven't seen any performance issues. The interface is clean enough - you just activate it, check your points accumulating, and adjust settings if you want. They're basically saying AI is going to reshape everything anyway, so why shouldn't regular people benefit from the data they're generating just by browsing? If you're curious, you can grab the grass extension from their store and start earning points while you browse normally. The Community Node version is the one with the better multiplier if you want to help test their new stuff.
