Today, stepping out the door, there was a wave of stuffy heat, and the traffic jam on the road made me lose my temper halfway; the coffee also cooled down... As a result, when I checked the chain later, I saw someone complaining that cross-chain bridges are "too slow to confirm." Honestly, waiting for confirmations is not procrastination; it's a brake for yourself: if the multi-signature addresses have issues, or if the oracle feeding prices goes haywire, rushing over is just handing a black swan a knife.
I used to get overly emotional whenever I opened a perpetual position, fearing "rushing against time," and as soon as the bridge showed a pending status, I’d want to move to the next step. In the end, I’d either get stuck or get slippage-ed out. Now, I prefer to check the funding rate and position changes first, and when my emotions rise, I remind myself: slow down, confirm before acting, even if it means earning less.
Recently, with rate cut expectations and the dollar index pulling and pushing, the rhythm of risk assets rising and falling together makes people more anxious... Anyway, I’ll keep a light position for now, wait two more minutes on the bridge, and pay the "calmness tax."
