Late at night, I casually checked the market and made a couple of on-chain transactions, gas skyrocketed and I chickened out... The mainnet is like a city center parking lot, you can get in but it's burning every minute; L2 is like the subway, crowded but really fast. Now I basically: small amounts, testing the waters, avoid L2 for frequent operations, only go back for big wins or when I have to deal with mainnet contracts and get wrecked once.

I've seen too many stolen cross-chain bridge exploits, so I have a bit of PTSD about "just one-click cross" to save trouble, I'd rather wait two more steps. Plus, oracles sometimes glitch, and when everyone suddenly collectively "waits for confirmation," it feels like the whole market is pretending to be mature... Anyway, I have one principle: saving gas is fine, but don’t save so much that you sacrifice security and sleep together.
