Late at night, I came across a few PFP communities discussing "membership benefits upgrades," and I was thinking while drawing lines: Is this thing really about long-term value, or is it just riding a wave of attention… Honestly, good-looking images are just an entry ticket; what really keeps people around is whether they can continue to do things later and whether people are willing to come back often.

But I also admit I tend to get caught up easily; when I see everyone changing their avatars or the group atmosphere heating up, I think "Wow, this is going to take off," but after a couple of weeks, the hype cools down, I draw the lines wrong, and people disperse. Recently, retail investors have been complaining about miner/validator income, MEV, fairness in transaction ordering, and all that stuff. I also feel a bit uncomfortable listening to it: everyone on-chain is fighting for the front row, so if brands and memberships are just about "who can grab attention better," then in the end, it’s pretty much the same as racing ahead. Anyway, I now care more about whether the benefits can be implemented, whether the rules are transparent, and not waking up the next day to find myself being driven by emotions again. That’s all for now.
