So I've been looking into dating sites for seniors over 70 and honestly there's way more options now than I expected. Used to think online dating was just for younger people but apparently that's changed big time. Been doing some research and wanted to share what I found because a few of these actually seem pretty solid.
OurTime seems to be the go-to for most people in this age group - it's specifically built for folks over 50 so the interface isn't confusing and the algorithm actually factors in things like location and interests. You get a free tier which is nice, though you have to deal with marketing emails. The app works on both iPhone and Android which is helpful.
If you're looking for something more serious and maybe international matches, EliteSingles keeps coming up. It's been around since 2008 and has users all over. Pricing is a bit higher than others but people say the matching process is thorough. SilverSingles is another one that's exclusive to 50+ and uses personality tests to match people, which some folks seem to like better than just browsing.
For dating sites for seniors over 70 specifically, Match has a dedicated senior section and they've been doing this since 1995 so they know what they're doing. They have background checks which is honestly pretty important for safety. eHarmony is pricier but people rave about their matching system.
The free trial thing matters too - DateMyAge lets you test it out before committing which makes sense. And SeniorMatch has a decent free tier where you can at least browse and send winks without paying.
Honestly my biggest takeaway is that safety verification is key. A lot of scams out there so you want a site that actually verifies people. Also the dating sites for seniors over 70 market seems to have gotten way more competitive which is good for us - means better features and more people to connect with. Anyone else been trying these out? Curious what people's actual experiences have been.
