Fed Says Middle East Events Raise Economic Uncertainty in FOMC Statement

The Fed said in its FOMC statement that developments in the Middle East have increased uncertainty around the economic outlook. The statement changed inflation language from “slightly elevated” to “elevated” and said job growth has remained low on average while unemployment has held steady.
