These days, social mining/points have gotten even more competitive again—everyone in the group shows off badges and their identities every day. I also wrote a small script to watch the event logs… and as it turned out, I’m staring at “check-ins,” “reposts,” and “likes” more diligently than I watch the blockchain. To put it plainly, it’s kind of putting the cart before the horse. Last night, I even almost moved my wallet back and forth across chains just to complete a task. Then I remembered the cross-chain bridge theft from a few days ago, and I instantly calmed down: exposing myself to bridges and all kinds of strange contracts just for a profile picture frame isn’t worth it. Now I’ll just dip my toes in with small amounts—like 0.8U. Once it confirms, I’ll just wait 30 seconds and call it a day; I’ve also learned that sort of unspoken coordination where, after abnormal oracle prices, everyone says “wait for confirmation” together… Anyway, badges aren’t talismans—don’t drain both your time and your risk for them.
