$ETH $BTC Whoever rushes you is doing it with ulterior motives. If anyone pushes you to hand over money or sign immediately, you must stop right away.
The other side isn’t rushing for your sake; they’re afraid you’ll calm down, think it through, and then uncover the tricks and loopholes inside.
Whenever it involves your own interests, the more others urge you, the more you should slow your pace. Don’t be intimidated or swept along by others into passivity—no one will take the risks for you.
Anxiety is a heavy load of negative energy. When people get flustered and impatient, their intelligence is likely to “go offline.” Only by keeping your emotions steady can you think rationally and clearly see the pros and cons.
Time is the best test. Real good things and reliable people can stand up to being observed slowly and spending the long term together; only matters that hide problems and can’t stand scrutiny are the ones most afraid of you stopping to think calmly. When others rush you, at root, they’re afraid you’ll figure out the truth.
Anxiety and impatience are contagious. The moment someone rushes you, you’re likely to feel panicky and your thoughts get muddled, making it easy to make decisions you’ll regret afterward. Many wrong choices aren’t because your judgment was incorrect—they’re because you were too impatient.
The best way to protect yourself isn’t to be smarter, but to be able to keep your nerve. When you’re being pushed, calmly say, “Let me think about it.” When you’re being forced, stay gentle and let them know you need a little more time. This isn’t procrastination—it’s taking responsibility for yourself. In life and in doing things, keep your own rhythm and follow your inner judgment.
Don’t be afraid of offending people by refusing, and don’t be afraid that being cautious will cause you to miss opportunities. Real good opportunities can stand up to careful consideration, and the real people who respect you will also tolerate your slower pace.
The consequences of impulsiveness can only be borne by yourself. But if you stay steady and calm, it can help you avoid the vast majority of traps—living an uneventful, secure life is the most solid way to get through the days.
