Tesla last year earned $573 million in revenue from SpaceX and xAI.
Tesla disclosed in its revised annual filing that last year it generated more than $500 million in revenue by selling products to two other companies owned by Elon Musk. Tesla first disclosed in January this year that the bulk of its revenue—about $430.1 million—came from business dealings with xAI, Musk’s AI startup. On Thursday, the automaker submitted a revised filing, adding that it also confirmed revenue of $143.3 million from SpaceX, the aerospace company privately held by Musk. In the initial annual report Tesla released in January, it did not disclose the latter figure. Earlier this month, media reports said that SpaceX purchased more than $100 million worth of Cybertrucks—Tesla’s electric pickup truck that has been performing weakly in sales—during the fourth quarter of last year.
