I’m basically just someone who’s watching a small corner of the blockchain. Lately, I’ve replayed and reviewed a few orders that were “mysteriously liquidated” for no clear reason, and in most cases it boils down to that moment when Oracle price feeds stall the quote for a few seconds. You think you’re still a bit away from the liquidation line, but when the quote gets delayed, the on-chain “current price” doesn’t keep up—then the liquidation bot follows its own worldview, and boom, your position is gone… Put simply, what you’re betting on is the system’s update speed, not just the market.

What’s even more annoying is that some on-chain data tools and address labels are now getting blasted for being “lagging/possibly misleading.” My sense is pretty much the same: the abnormal trades you see, or an address labeled as “smart money,” may already be the shadow of the previous round. Anyway, before I go for high leverage now, I’ll first check this pool’s price-feed source and its update frequency, and I’ll also reduce my position size. Better to earn a little less than to get burned by the delay.
