I've recently been looking into the IBC/cross-chain system, and the more I analyze it, the more I feel: transferring tokens from A to B is essentially trusting a chain of components to not all malfunction at once... If you trust relayers, don't slack off; if you trust the consensus of the other chain, and it fails, you also have to trust that the light client/verification logic isn't flawed, plus avoid the bridge's multi-signature/oracle suddenly turning poetic.

The more layers there are, the slippage feels as natural as rhyme, but the losses are also more likely to be written into the main text.

Then I see that these days, memes and celebrities' voices shift attention quickly, veteran players advise newcomers not to take the final step, and I just want to lower my expectations even more.
Whether it's cross-chain or chasing hot topics, don't think "this time will be smooth," I now prefer to go slower, confirm more, and feel more relaxed.
