These past few days, I’ve once again been schooled by the attention economy: whenever a hot topic changes, I get an urge to act. We had clearly agreed I’d only do spot swing trades, but the moment I see others posting screenshots, my brain starts filling in fantasies that I can take a bite of that same “one.” In plain terms, I got “cut” by all the commotion. So now I’ve set myself a low-tech rule: no matter what the story is, wait one night first. If I still want to buy the next day—then we’ll talk. At least I can filter out half of those purely emotional orders.

Recently, Layer 2 has started comparing TPS, comparing fees, and comparing ecosystem subsidies again, bickering like a fan circle. Even my mom asked me, “Aren’t they all saying they’re the fastest and cheapest? Then if you buy whichever one, you’ll surely win, right?” I can only tell her: where is there a sure win? The louder the arguing, the more I have to slow down before I make the move… Anyway, first look at whether there are enough real users actually using it on-chain—don’t let subsidies just blur my eyes. Tonight, I’ll review yesterday’s impulsive trades; whether I was down or up, consider it tuition.
