Just saw that Evergy is shaking up their executive team pretty significantly. So Kevin Bryant, who's been with them for a while, is moving into this Executive Vice President role for Corporate Initiatives before he leaves at the end of 2024. That's already happened now, but the transition itself was interesting to watch.
Meanwhile they had Steven Busser step down as Chief Accounting Officer, and Matt Gummig took over as Interim Controller. Gummig's apparently been there a while too, so at least they're promoting from within rather than bringing in outside people.
The Kevin Bryant move specifically caught my attention because it feels like they're reshuffling things to position new people for strategic stuff. Wonder if this signals bigger changes coming for Evergy's direction? These utility companies don't usually make this many moves at once unless something's shifting internally. Curious what the market's reading into all this.
