Just found out you can actually snag cheap condos for sale near me in some US cities for under $100k. Sounds wild but apparently it's doable if you know where to look.
So I was reading about this and apparently Austin still has pockets where you can find affordable condos, especially outside downtown or in older neighborhoods. Cincinnati's another one - apparently the whole market there is just way cheaper than most major cities. Indianapolis too if you're willing to check the suburbs.
If you're more into warmer weather, Orlando's got a ton of condo supply which drives prices down. Portland and Salt Lake City are also on the list. The catch is you usually gotta search outside the main city center to find those budget-friendly options.
The median prices in bigger markets are insane though - like $800k in San Francisco crazy. But in these markets, finding condos under six figures is actually realistic. Makes me wonder if I should've looked at some of these cheaper markets instead. Anyone here actually bought a cheap condo in any of these cities? What was your experience like?
