Today I was once again confused by on-chain data "lagging" me... Clearly the transaction has been on the chain, but the wallet/dashboard still hasn't updated for a long time. Later, I thought it's probably not the chain being slow, but the intermediate indexers and Subgraph tracking blocks, occasionally missing blocks or reorganizing, which requires rolling back and recalculating; plus RPC rate limiting, causing queues when crowded, making the front end look like it’s momentarily dead.

Recently, AI Agents for automated trading are being hyped up, but honestly, they also rely on these interfaces to feed data and send transactions. When there's a lot of noise, it's easier to mistake "latency" for "opportunity," leading to a flurry of random authorization clicks. My noise reduction strategy: only focus on two or three fixed sources + my own wallet relationship graph, treat other group messages as background noise, and only get emotionally involved after on-chain confirmation.
