Hassett: Powell continuing to serve as a Federal Reserve Board member could impact interest rate cuts

Golden Finance reported that on April 30, White House advisor Hassett said that if Powell were to remain as Federal Reserve Chair after his term ends in May, it could affect the rate cuts (advocated by U.S. President Donald Trump). Powell should leave the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve chair nominee, Kevin Wosch, did not give (any assurance regarding Trump’s demand for rate cuts), and he said he would make decisions based on data.
