I almost got caught out just now... I copied the address and pasted it into the perpetual section, and with a shaky hand, I clicked confirm. Luckily, I noticed the contract directions were all wrong, and I canceled the order, which even cooled my coffee. Also, a reminder to myself: don't reflexively follow when you see "whales entering the market" on-chain; first think carefully whether they are building a position or hedging. Sometimes large transfers in are just locking in risk; following along turns into you taking on their volatility. Recently, someone also combined ETF capital flows, US stock risk appetite, and crypto market rises and falls into one interpretation. It sounds lively, but I still pay more attention to market structure and funding rates. In the midst of the excitement, take a two-minute breather before acting. Anyway, I have impulsiveness, but self-control is also necessary.
