U.S. Officials Estimate Iran Military Operations Cost Could Reach $50 Billion, Twice the Official Disclosure

On May 1, U.S. officials revealed that the true cost of military operations against Iran could approach $50 billion, approximately double the $25 billion previously disclosed by the Pentagon during congressional hearings. It is reported that the Pentagon’s earlier estimate of $25 billion did not fully account for costs such as equipment losses and damage to military facilities. Informed officials stated that as the operations continue, ammunition consumption and equipment losses have become the main reasons for rising costs. For instance, 24 MQ-9 Reaper drones have already been destroyed, each valued at around $30 million. (CCTV News)
