Just noticed something interesting in the latest Google Messages beta - looks like they're finally bringing live location sharing directly into the app. No more sending static map links back and forth, you can actually share your real-time location within a conversation now.
The feature's powered by Find Hub and apparently shows a built-in map view without ever leaving Messages, which is pretty convenient honestly. You'd get the usual sharing options too - one hour, rest of the day, or until you manually turn it off.
Not live yet obviously, but it's showing up in the beta version so probably rolling out soon. There's also hints that Find Hub might get location alerts (like arrival/departure notifications) added separately. Feels like Google's trying to consolidate all their location tools around Find Hub to make the whole Android experience less fragmented.
Anyone else using the Messages beta? Curious if this actually makes sharing locations less annoying than it currently is.
