Just saw Intel making a leadership move - they're bringing in Craig Barratt as their new Independent Chair starting mid-May. Interesting timing with Frank Yeary stepping down from the board. So Craig's got solid credentials, spent years running Barefoot Networks before Intel acquired it, then moved into their Ethernet and Photonics division as SVP. Apparently he's also on the boards of Intuitive Surgical and Astera Labs, so the guy's definitely got board experience across different sectors. Not sure if this signals anything bigger about Intel's strategic direction, but bringing in someone with his networking and infrastructure background could be telling. Worth watching how Craig shapes things at the chip giant over the next year or so.
