The Federal Reserve announced its decision on the interest rate, setting the upper limit at 3.75%, in line with expectations and without changing from the previous level.

According to Wall Street Journal correspondent Nick Timiraos, there were four dissenters on the Fed stopping rate hikes, with three bank presidents pushing to remove the easing bias, and one governor opposing a rate cut. The last time four dissenters appeared at a meeting was in 1992.
