So apparently Nut Tree Capital just completely bailed on Caesars Entertainment - dumped their entire 2 million share position worth like $54 million back in Q4. That was actually 12.5% of their whole fund, pretty massive move.

The timing is kind of interesting though. CZR had a decent Q4 with their digital business up 21% year-over-year, hitting $1.4 billion. But then the stock just tanked hard in 2026, dropped over 52% from the year before. So Nut Tree basically got out right before things went south - good call on their part.

Now the stock's bouncing around like crazy again with all these takeover rumors floating around. It's got a beta of like 2, so it's basically a volatile mess. For anyone holding it, probably not a bad time to think about exiting. If you're thinking about buying, I'd wait for a real dip first. This isn't exactly a stable play unless you've got the stomach for that kind of swings.

Anyone else watching this or did Nut Tree just see something the rest of us missed?
