Just saw that South32 made an official leadership change last month - Stephen Pearce took over as Chair after Karen Wood retired. The transition happened on March 1st, so it's pretty fresh news. Interesting timing too, because the stock was up around 2% when this went through, trading at A$4.6950. Wonder if the market had been pricing in this change or if there's something else driving the momentum. Pearce's got big shoes to fill, but these kinds of board transitions at major mining companies usually signal they've got a solid plan in place. Worth keeping an eye on how South32 moves forward under the new leadership.
