Just caught Intact Financial's full year results and the numbers look pretty solid. Their earnings jumped to C$3.365 billion from C$2.297 billion last year, which translates to C$18.35 per share versus C$12.36 before. Not bad at all.

Revenue side was a bit more modest though - only up 1.6% to C$26.950 billion. So the real story here is that Intact managed to push profitability higher even with slower revenue growth. That's actually the kind of thing you want to see from an insurance company.

The intact performance across the board suggests they're doing something right with cost management and operational efficiency. Worth keeping an eye on if you follow the insurance sector.
