So I just realized I've been bleeding money on subscriptions I completely forgot about. Like, I have Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, some fitness app, meal kit service... the list goes on. Started wondering if there's an app to check subscriptions and honestly found some pretty solid options.
Truebill seems like the heavy hitter if you want something that does more than just track subs. It connects to your bank account and shows you where all your money's actually going, which is kind of eye-opening. They even have people who'll cancel unwanted subscriptions for you if you pay for that service. Costs between 3 to 12 a month depending on what you want.
If you're on Android, Subby is worth checking out. You add everything manually which is a bit tedious, but it's free and does the job. There's also a pro version for like 3 bucks if you want to remove ads and get backup features.
Outflow and Bobby are the other ones I looked at. Outflow's iOS only, costs 2 bucks, and can actually scan your Gmail to find subscriptions you forgot about. Bobby's similar but free for up to four subscriptions, then you pay for more features. Both let you set reminders so you don't get blindsided by charges.
Honestly, using an app to check subscriptions regularly could save you hundreds a year. I'm pretty sure I'm paying for at least two things I haven't used in months. Definitely going to clean that up. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?
