just realized i can deposit cash at way more ATMs than i thought? like apparently most banks let you do it at their machines, not just at branches. been using the ATM for years and never even tried lol. but heads up—there are limits. some banks cap it at like 5k per deposit, and Wells Fargo only lets you put in 30 bills at a time which seems oddly specific. the whole process is pretty straightforward though: card in, PIN, select deposit, and boom. usually shows up same day or next business day if it's in-network. thing is, not every ATM accepts deposits, so you gotta check your bank's app first before showing up with a stack of cash. and if you're using some random out-of-network ATM? could take days and they might charge you fees on top of it. also if you bank online, good luck—most of those places don't even have ATMs for deposits. Capital One 360 is weird about it. anyway moral of the story: definitely check what your specific bank allows before you go stuffing bills into a machine. could save you some headache and surprise fees.
