Just been looking at the AI boom and honestly, there are two stocks that really stand out right now if you're thinking about where to deploy capital. Meta and TSMC. These aren't just riding the wave - they're actually unstoppable in how they're positioned.
Let me start with Meta. The social media dominance is real, but what's actually wild is how they're leveraging AI across everything. Daily active users hit 3.58 billion in Q4 2025, up 7% year-over-year. But here's the thing everyone's sleeping on - they've barely monetized WhatsApp and Threads yet. That's just sitting there. The company already crossed $200 billion in revenue last year, and they're throwing $135 billion into capex in 2026. Yeah, that's aggressive, but the core business is so unstoppable that investors should feel pretty confident about returns on that investment. They're building AI tools for advertisers, powering content creation, shipping AI consumer devices. It's all feeding back into making their apps more sticky, which makes advertisers more willing to pay.
Now TSMC. This is where it gets interesting. Hyperscalers are dropping hundreds of billions into data centers, and TSMC is basically the chip manufacturer behind it all. They're making chips for Nvidia, which controls roughly 80% of the AI data center chip market. TSMC's market share? About 72% of global foundry revenue. Their Q4 numbers were unstoppable - 20.5% revenue growth year-over-year, 35% earnings growth. McKinsey is projecting global data center spending could hit $6.7 trillion by 2030, which tells you this AI infrastructure boom is nowhere near done. Analysts are modeling 30% annualized earnings growth for TSMC over the next three to five years, and the stock's trading at just 34x earnings. That's pretty reasonable for those growth rates.
The common thread here is AI creating these unstoppable tailwinds. One's capturing consumer attention and ad dollars, the other's providing the critical infrastructure. If you've got a grand to put to work, these two are worth serious consideration right now.
