Just caught Maple Leaf Foods' Q4 numbers and the improvement is pretty solid. Earnings jumped from C$54M last year to C$391M this quarter - that's a massive jump. Revenue hit C$991M, up 8.1% from C$917M, so the company is actually moving product. Adjusted EBITDA came in at C$117M, up 8.3%, which shows operational efficiency is improving too. The stock pulled back slightly to C$26.81 today, down 0.63%, but I'm watching the forward guidance. Management is calling for mid-single-digit revenue growth in fiscal 2026 with Adjusted EBITDA in the C$520-540M range. That's a meaningful increase from where they are now. For a food company in this environment, those numbers suggest they're managing costs and demand pretty well. Worth keeping on the radar if you're looking at defensive plays in the consumer staples space.
