On April 30, Iranian media reported that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated during a phone call with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko that Iran has completely lost trust in the United States. Raisi mentioned that resolving differences through dialogue and diplomatic efforts has always been a priority, but during previous negotiations, the U.S. and Israel had attacked Iran twice, and similar actions could happen again, leading to Iran’s complete loss of trust in the U.S. According to a statement from the Belarusian presidential website on the same day, Raisi informed Lukashenko about the regional situation and Iran’s position in negotiations with the U.S., expressing gratitude for Belarus’s principled stance. Both sides pointed out that the main obstacle to reaching a peace agreement is the lack of mutual trust. Lukashenko emphasized that Belarus hopes for a swift resolution to the conflict.
